Ring Sizes: How can I figure out which size I am, and what should I look out for?
Ever bought a ring, only to find it doesn’t quite fit? Well, today we'll be giving you some tips to avoid that sinking feeling by nailing your ring size from the start.
Measuring your finger properly, as you might've guessed, is absolutely key, and it’s all about the little details - and is just as important as the gemstone itself (like these Lab Grown Diamonds crafted into wedding & engagement rings just below!)
You should also consider the time of day - our fingers, believe it or not, are usually at their largest in the evening. Also, keep your fingers warm before measuring; the cold can shrink them a bit. Don't forget, your dominant hand is typically larger, so measure the exact finger where the ring will live.

At-home hacks for finding the right sizing
Not keen on heading to a jeweller straight away? Well, don't fret - you’ve got options that can be done at home! One easy method is to use a ring sizer, which you can either order online or print out. Simply wrap it around your finger and check the size. If you have an existing ring that fits like a glove, compare it to a ring size chart to find your size. And, if you're feeling a little crafty, you can grab some string, wrap it around your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length against a ruler - easy peasy, and it genuinely doesn't take very long at all.
Converting measurements
Once you've measured your finger, you might need to convert those numbers to find your perfect ring size. For example, a finger circumference of 15.7 millimetres usually translates to a size 5. If you’re closer to 16.1 millimetres, bump up to a 5.5. A little nudge in size can make a big difference, especially if you're between sizes. Remember that your sizes, depending on a few things, can change throughout the years - so it's always best to re-measure when you're looking to purchase a new ring.

How exactly should the ring fit?
So, you’ve narrowed down your ring size to two possible options. How do you decide which one is the winner? A well-fitted ring should feel snug but never tight. If you notice any bulging skin around the band, it’s likely too tight. Ideally, the ring should slide on with ease and require a gentle tug to remove. If a ring leaves deep indentations on your skin, that’s a sign to size up. The perfect fit strikes a balance—secure on your finger without being a struggle to put on or take off.
